Bonjour, I’m Anaïs
I grew up surrounded by art in France, with an art critic father and a painter mother. By twelve, I had picked up a camera and discovered the joy of creating images of my own.
After training professionally in photography in Paris, I spent my summers photographing families on the beaches of the French Riviera using black-and-white film. Reviewing each day’s photographs sharpened my eye for light, composition and the spontaneous moments that make every family unique.
Photography and a love of adventure eventually took me around the world. After living in New Zealand and Australia, I made Fiji my home in 2016.
My approach
Family life is rarely perfectly posed—and I don’t think your photographs should be either.
My sessions are relaxed, playful and gently directed, giving everyone space to be themselves. Alongside the beautiful portraits, I look for the unexpected laughter, sandy feet, windswept hair and small expressions you never want to forget.
When I’m not behind the camera, you’ll usually find me exploring outdoors, practising yoga or diving beneath the surface. My fascination with the colour and movement of the underwater world also inspired my underwater photography sessions.
And if there’s music playing, you may find me on the dance floor wearing more than a little sparkle.
That sense of freedom, fun and happiness is at the heart of Bambina Photography. I create photographs that bring you back to how a moment felt—and memories your family can share for generations.
Love, Anaïs
